Who and What

Whose computer(s) is/are being replaced? °

PCs provided by client must have Windows 11 Pro, not Home. Home is most commonly sold in retail stores. Upgrading to Pro incurs additional cost. Please do not log into the new computer before working with Nextworks.

Setup Requirements

What printers are used? Are they network (shared) printers, or USB (not shared) printers, or both?
Are any devices connected such as external drives, scanners, or check readers?
We will install your core applications. However, are there any additional unique applications that we need to know about?
Nextworks is not responsible for any personally installed software not supported by the organization.

Documents

All documents stored on servers or in the cloud will be accessible from the new computer. If any documents stored locally need to be manually moved to the new computer, please describe below. (If you don't know, you can ask us to investigate for you.)
Before moving to a new computer, now is a good time for housecleaning. You may want to remove any unwanted files and/or move files stored locally to cloud or server shares.

Nextworks is not responsible for moving personal files or connecting personal OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox accounts. We can provide assistance if needed.

Web Browser Data

The best way to preserve your web browser data is to log in with sync enabled. This will retain your favorites, passwords, payment methods, and prefilled fields. It is important to do so before moving over to the new computer. Once on the new computer, log back in and all data will populate. °

Remote Access

Will the new computer be used for remote access using a VPN? °

Passwords

Nextworks will require some of your passwords to setup your new computer.

What is your current Windows or Mac login password?
What is your current Microsoft 365 password (email), if different?
Our team may need to work with you for MFA (multi-factor authentication) security requirements.

Passwords submitted are securely encrypted when submitted to Nextworks.

REPLACING COMPUTERS

Replacing an old computer? We will do the work for you.

Nextworks is already familiar with your core computer requirements. But for a pinpoint transiton we need to know a few things.

Note:

If you are replacing multiple computers at once for employees with like requirements, you only need to fill this out once.
